Three major distribution companies—Hanwa Co., Ltd. and its group companies Sanei Kinzoku (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Fuke) and Daisan (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Osaka; President: Masaki Konishi)—will increase the sales price of shape steel in the Kansai region by 3,000 yen per ton, starting with orders received on the 17th.
This price increase applies to H-beams, general shape steels (angle steel, channel steel, unequal angle steel, and I-beams), flat bars, and other similar materials.
Target Lower-Limit Prices:
-
H-beams: 120,000 yen
-
General shape steels: 122,000 yen
-
Flat bars: 133,000 yen
-
Unequal angle steel and I-beams: 151,000 yen
Through these adjustments, the companies aim to resolve the previously un-transferred portions of manufacturer price increases and begin fully implementing market price corrections.
